Greetings. We are almost done with family visits, friend hanging outing, errands and obligations. We are slow pokes like that. But on 1 September, Sergey and I will be embarking on a train ride to the first destination that neither one of us has ever been to – Nizhniy Novgorod.
With that our trip will begin in earnest. Here is the breakdown of our Russia itinerary.
1 September – Nizhniy Novgorod
2-3 September – Kazan
4 September – Yekaterinburg
6-7 September – Krasnoyarsk
8–11 September – Irkutsk & Olkhon island in lake Baikal
12 September – Ulan Ude
Twelve days, six cities, six trains, three time zones. We are ready.
We have a few posts now on Moscow and Petrozavodsk, the two places we have spent the first two and half weeks in Russia. It has been nice to settle in, adjust to time difference and take in our favorite foods slowly. We hope you enjoyed the 4 o’clocks!
