Happy (almost) weekend guys! We are starting a new series: Wanderlust Fridays. There is so much neat travel inspiration out there, I am constantly pinning, bookmarking, and saving to my pocket. Starting this week, we will either share a travel link roundup, run an interview with a fellow adventure seeker, feature a guest post, or share our own thoughts on travel related issues as inspiration strikes.

This week, all I could think about was “escaping.” Washington D.C. doesn’t get real winter weather very often, but when it does, it’s a whammy.

If I wasn’t so cold at this point, I would totally say Ja to Umeo, Sweden where I have cousins!

Speaking of cold and snow — have you seen these beautiful instagrams of snowy Istanbul?

Would you rent an igloo on AirBnB? I would NOT, but I certainly would love to stay in one of these ice hotels.

Here’s a little something to get you in the mood for the weekend no matter where you are.

And, don’t forget to get ready for the Oscars on Sunday — here’s a primer on best foreign language nominations (and a few other submissions).

If you would like to watch this week’s wanderlust video (it’s a great one!), head on over to our facebook page.

Have a great weekend, y’all!
