Hanging out with some of our faves, also known as best hosts ever, in Istanbul. You learn to appreciate the days of doing nothing after one year on the road. Especially those days spent by the pool.
Exploring cave churches in theĀ Zelve Open Air Museum — this one is a bit off the beaten path in Cappadocia, but actually turned out to be a pretty neat and extensive site. Lots of climbing, lots of fascinating dwellings — definitely recommend.
A visit to the princess islands – a short commute of 1.5 hours across the Marmara Sea – was one of the highlights of our stay in Istanbul. Mostly for the ferry ride and the cimit (turkish sesame bagels) that you can purchase on the boat.
