31 August 2014 – Ankara, Turkey
We visited the Ankara archeology museum on our full day in Ankara. Definitely worth a look, lots of fascinating artifacts, and a nice garden to boot.

Walking route to Jvari church from Mtskeheta turned out to be super simple – despite the guidebook threatening us with a hard and tedious trek. Totally worth it too considering taxis were trying to charge something ridiculous like $10. Views are a bonus )
We take the norry, aka Cambodian train! A bamboo raft, set on the original network built by the French, and powered by a motorcycle engine. Locals still take it short distances — I think we caught a bunch of school kids going home. If nothing else, it is very scenic and very fun.
Hanging out on top of our boat, making our way from Battambang to Siem Reap via the Sankae River. Even though its not the best season and water levels are low, we had the best time. During our 7 hour trip we saw chinese fishing nets, floating villages, fisherman, and beautiful nature.
We have some differences over what to consider the official start day of our trip. When someone asks – how long have you been traveling, Sergey announces that we have been on the road since 3 August, which is when we moved out of www.victorianinbloom.com in DC and became homeless; for Jenia, the trip started…
Youth cross country competition at Spartak stadium in Petrozavodsk, spirits are high.
Saying goodbye to the gorgeous Pacific Ocean for now. We chilled out at An Bang beach in Hoi An which surprised us with a number of locals and expats, pretty nice atmosphere, and terrible bloody mary.
