We take the norry, aka Cambodian train! A bamboo raft, set on the original network built by the French, and powered by a motorcycle engine. Locals still take it short distances — I think we caught a bunch of school kids going home. If nothing else, it is very scenic and very fun.
Hanging out in Esztergom, Hungary — enjoying the views over to Slovakia and a visiting the Esztergom Basilica, the center of Catholicism in Hungary.
Hanging out in our hotel pool in Hoi An. We really enjoyed our stay at Kiman Hotel, where we stayed for a week. We used the pool every single day – complete delight, particularly in the scorching summer season.
On our third day in Moscow, we visit the Elokhovsky Cathedral — one of the oldest in Moscow, and at one point (during Soviet times) served as the main or patriarchal Cathedral of Russia. A very spiritual 4 o’clock to you.
All aboard the tourist boat, departing Rabbit island, Cambodia. The easiest island trip we’ve ever taken. Sad to say goodbye to Cambodia on our last full day in the country. The 7-kilometer trek into the depths of the Thien Duong, better known as the Paradise Cave was one of the coolest adventures we’ve had. Ever. Not even in Vietnam, just ever – in life. We’ve done some cool stuff in our travels, but this was pick-your-jaw-off-the-floor astounding. And we aren’t even all that into caves….
