Marooned on a desert island in the Gulf of Island…almost. Rabbit Island is a neat little getaway, only 30 minutes by boat from Kep. There are plenty of huts to rent for a few days. No wifi on the island, which makes for lots of reading, writing, and reflecting time.
Arrived in rainy and definitely cool Dalat, up in the Vietnamese mountains. A quick stop at a bike repair shop before the highlight of our 5 day easy rider tour, a home stay with our guide, Hai’s family (the latter bit unfortunately not featured in the 4 o’clock!)
Having been in Laos for a few weeks, our arrival in Luang Prabang – the country’s most famous and most visited city – was a shock to the system. We stayed at the cutest little guesthouse in Luang Prabang – Xaychaleuang. Xaychaleuang is run by a nice Japanese lady, is very modern (think Japan!) and totally cute. If you can find it, and its not full, its totally worth a little bit extra. The magical balcony that looks over a cute ally with full display…
