Back in Bangkok for a hot second to check out a local supermarket. Your favorite segment, we know!
Sergey checks in for the 4 o’clock from Bangkok Dental Hospital where he has been spending every afternoon this week getting his root canal re-d0ne (after a not so nice job in the US). Ah Thailand, even your dentist offices are nicer than elsehwere in the world (ahem).
Taking the slow-boat (16 hours!) from Mandalay to Bagan. So many fascinating interactions and views in one day.
More stunning views from Yangshuo, China. We rented a moped to get around, which was great fun as well 🙂
We stayed at the cutest little guesthouse in Luang Prabang – Xaychaleuang. Xaychaleuang is run by a nice Japanese lady, is very modern (think Japan!) and totally cute. A visit to the 10th century Banteay Srei temple, the crown jewel of Khmer architecture. Banteay Srei was built by a Brahmin – rather than your typical Varman (king) — in honor of Hindu god Shiva. The rose-colored sandstone carvings are spectacular even in 100+ degree heat. Banteay Srei was one of our favorites in the Angkor complex!
