Enjoying great weather in Kunming, China. So rare to see blue sky and sun — at least in the fall! We liked Kunming!

All set for the land where all 12 months are composed of 28 days, each week features 8 days (two of them being just 12 hours long), and time is off the GMT zones by a half hour. And then, there are issues with the internet. Sergey expects to be able to connect – so…
Jenia and our friend Nastya learn how to drive a scooter under Sergey’s patient guidance. Don’t worry we wear helmets on the road! it was just particularly hot that day and slow driving makes helmets oh so uncomfortable and itchy.
Our first day in Hanoi – and it is love. At least with our hotel: Hanoi Culture Hostel. This is hands down the best price to value ratio that we have experienced first hand on this trip. The best bit is the balcony, of course, overlooking the Old Quarter.
