First Tusheti hike turned out pretty ambitious. We walked most of the day, exploring some tiny village which boasted a population of 3 inhabitants and ten times as many houses. Sagalassos was amazing – a remote archeological site not accessed by any convenient forms of public transport (or tour buses!) is stunning. There are hardly any visitors, so we had the ancient “first city of Pisidia” (aka regional Roman capital) almost entirely to ourselves. On the bus back from our hike up to Mt Emei. Back to Chengdu for the third time.
Back to the motherland for us — we flew via St Petersburg and got to spend a couple of exciting hours exploring the city with our new friend that we met in Georgia, actually. Here we are (sans the friend at that point) on the tram.
