A visit to the Monsoon palace on the outskirts of Udaipur, India. Plus a cameo fo Guillermo, our new friend from Argentina.
Taking the slow-boat (16 hours!) from Mandalay to Bagan. So many fascinating interactions and views in one day.
When we first arrived in Phnom Penh we noticed an astonishing number of Lexus and Highlander jeeps driving around downtown. So we decided to count how many there are — turns out we got 13 in just about a block and half or 4 minutes. Who knew?
We got off at a rest area somewhere in the middle of Laos, happy to get a stretch, grab a bite to eat, and in general break the monotonous bus journey. By the time we got to Laos, we were eight months or so into our RTW, which meant that we’ve seen our fair share…
Made it to Beijing — which turned out not as scary as we thought!
Unbeknownst to us we try the famous Lao crepes (pancakes) and deem them to be the best desert ever. Seriously, I can see why backpackers are all about this stuff — its delicious! And can be found in every small town in Laos.
