A taste test of banh mi – a Vietnamese pate / pork / meat deliciousness sandwich — from none other than the Queen of Banh Mi in Hoi An, Vietnam.
Our last day in Russia – spent in Ulan Ude. We saw the city, visited Russia’s center of Buddhism, and of course caught up with internet work and blogging before taking off for Mongolian steppes!
Day one on the island of Olkhon, where we went to explore the northern part of the island and learn some of the many legends of the Buryat people.
Just crossed the border from Aranyaprathet to Poipet and hopped on a bus to our first destination in Cambodia, Battambang. Here we are first few minutes in a new country. Cheers!

Saying goodbye to the gorgeous Pacific Ocean for now. We chilled out at An Bang beach in Hoi An which surprised us with a number of locals and expats, pretty nice atmosphere, and terrible bloody mary.
