After rain, and more rain, we finally see some sun and enjoy an afternoon on the beach on Koh Lanta, Thailand.

We take the norry, aka Cambodian train! A bamboo raft, set on the original network built by the French, and powered by a motorcycle engine. Locals still take it short distances — I think we caught a bunch of school kids going home. If nothing else, it is very scenic and very fun.

We stayed at the cutest little guesthouse in Luang Prabang –Â Â Xaychaleuang. Xaychaleuang is run by a nice Japanese lady, is very modern (think Japan!) and totally cute. If you can find it, and its not full, its totally worth a little bit extra. The magical balcony that looks over a cute ally with full display…
