Hands down our favorite day in Myanmar — there is something very magical about Hpa-an countryside. Or maybe it was all in the timing — who knows. But we wished we could’ve spent longer.
Jenia and our friend Nastya learn how to drive a scooter under Sergey’s patient guidance. Don’t worry we wear helmets on the road! it was just particularly hot that day and slow driving makes helmets oh so uncomfortable and itchy.
We got off at a rest area somewhere in the middle of Laos, happy to get a stretch, grab a bite to eat, and in general break the monotonous bus journey. By the time we got to Laos, we were eight months or so into our RTW, which meant that we’ve seen our fair share…

After rain, and more rain, we finally see some sun and enjoy an afternoon on the beach on Koh Lanta, Thailand.
Although we loved our last hotel in Hanoi, we decided to up our game a little and move to an area bustling with cafes, boutique shops, and the one and only St Joseph Cathedral. We worked hard to find a view like this in our price range, and I would say a bit of leg…
