A visit to the Istanbul Archeology Museum is a must – fascinating artifacts dating back 5-6 thousand (!!) years ago, uncovered as recently as a few years ago when the city began construction of Marmaray rail link under the Bosphorous.
Although we loved our last hotel in Hanoi, we decided to up our game a little and move to an area bustling with cafes, boutique shops, and the one and only St Joseph Cathedral. We worked hard to find a view like this in our price range, and I would say a bit of leg…
Most definitely our worst, most dangerous transport day on this trip. Welcome to Georgia, where a bus ticket gets you a seat in a private minivan from hell – otherwise known as our epic 9 hour, 3 different buses commute from Mestia to Tbilisi.
Supermarkets of the world series – Chengdu, China grocery shopping.
Spending a few hours at Jjimjilbang (찜질방), aka Korean spa, aka not Spa World (best ever Korean spa on the planet — at least the one we’ve been too. But! our Seoul experience was still pretty cool.
And we are off from Europe to Asia. Just crossed the bridge from one side of Istanbul to another. Still as exciting as ever (Jenia was in Istanbul in 2007, and crossing back and forth was a favorite )
