A visit to the 10th century Banteay Srei temple, the crown jewel of Khmer architecture. Banteay Srei was built by a Brahmin – rather than your typical Varman (king) — in honor of Hindu god Shiva. A short stop at the very holy Alaverdi Monastery, dating back to the 6th century. Rahter beautiful and peaceful, the monastery also features a wine cellar — common for religious buildings all across Georgia. The country is known to have invented wine making after all.
Our last full day relaxing on Suang Luang beach in Bang Saphan, Thailand. Sergey gives a tour of our bungalows Love at Sea – more like a house – which we liked very much. And of course another look at the Gulf of Thailand.
