A visit to the 10th century Banteay Srei temple, the crown jewel of Khmer architecture. Banteay Srei was built by a Brahmin – rather than your typical Varman (king) — in honor of Hindu god Shiva. The rose-colored sandstone carvings are spectacular even in 100+ degree heat. Banteay Srei was one of our favorites in the Angkor complex!

The 7-kilometer trek into the depths of the Thien Duong, better known as the Paradise Cave was one of the coolest adventures we’ve had. Ever. Not even in Vietnam, just ever – in life. We’ve done some cool stuff in our travels, but this was pick-your-jaw-off-the-floor astounding. And we aren’t even all that into caves….
For the foreseeable future we are based out of Washington DC, but still intend to travel far and wide, explore closer to home, and pretty much engage any and all wanderlust opportunities that come our way.
