A visit to the 10th century Banteay Srei temple, the crown jewel of Khmer architecture. Banteay Srei was built by a Brahmin – rather than your typical Varman (king) — in honor of Hindu god Shiva. The rose-colored sandstone carvings are spectacular even in 100+ degree heat. Banteay Srei was one of our favorites in the Angkor complex!

The 7-kilometer trek into the depths of the Thien Duong, better known as the Paradise Cave was one of the coolest adventures we’ve had. Ever. Not even in Vietnam, just ever – in life.
