Exploring Bangkok with Sergey’s parents.
A tour of our fancy pants hotel on the campus of Wuhan Science and Technology University.
Visiting theĀ Nahargarh Fort overlooking Jaipur. Unfortunately we have pretty dismal views from the Durg cafe. Oh well, at least they have beer.
A visit to the Amber fort, formerly the royal residence of the Jaipur kings. All of it is all the more fascinating for Jenia, who is currently reading A Princess Remembers by Gayatri Devi, who was married to the last Maharaja of Jaipur.
A happy hour in Kunming, China – a necessary luxury sometimes.
We take the norry, aka Cambodian train! A bamboo raft, set on the original network built by the French, and powered by a motorcycle engine. Locals still take it short distances — I think we caught a bunch of school kids going home. If nothing else, it is very scenic and very fun.
Youth cross country competition at Spartak stadium in Petrozavodsk, spirits are high.
