Hanging out in Tbilisi on the historic day of the country’s signing of an association agreement with the EU. It was pretty unreal – fireworks, concerts, people celebrating everywhere.

One day retreat to Takayama.. definitely a tourist trap as a town, but probably worth it if you are staying more than 2 days for hikes etc.
Climbing defense towers around upper Omalo, Tusheti – fun even in the rain. Earlier in the day we visited picturesque village of Dartlo, at the time it was nice and sunny, or at least not rainy. Regardless, another day of adventure in the wilds of Tushseti.
Another day in Albania, another amazing beach. Lukove beach is close to Saranda – maybe 20 minutes by car. Pristine shoreline, beautiful weather, and crystal clear Adriatic sea. Can life get better?
Having been in Laos for a few weeks, our arrival in Luang Prabang – the country’s most famous and most visited city – was a shock to the system. Back to the motherland for us — we flew via St Petersburg and got to spend a couple of exciting hours exploring the city with our new friend that we met in Georgia, actually. Here we are (sans the friend at that point) on the tram.
