29 May 2014 – Hoi An, Vietnam
Hanging out in our hotel pool in Hoi An. We really enjoyed our stay at Kiman Hotel, where we stayed for a week. We used the pool every single day – complete delight, particularly in the scorching summer season.

Our day of exploring the famous karst scenery around Yangshuo, a found secret garden and delicious kumquat wine. A wonderful day!
A surprise Buddhist stupa in Moscow – pretty neat discovery for a native Muscovite! And a fitting way to connect our Asia trip with our homeland.
Back to the motherland for us — we flew via St Petersburg and got to spend a couple of exciting hours exploring the city with our new friend that we met in Georgia, actually. Here we are (sans the friend at that point) on the tram.
We climbed one steep hill to enjoy (and bring you!) the panorama of UB.
A taste test of banh mi – a Vietnamese pate / pork / meat deliciousness sandwich — from none other than the Queen of Banh Mi in Hoi An, Vietnam.
