We stayed at the cutest little guesthouse in Luang Prabang – Xaychaleuang. Xaychaleuang is run by a nice Japanese lady, is very modern (think Japan!) and totally cute. If you can find it, and its not full, its totally worth a little bit extra. The magical balcony that looks over a cute ally with full display…
Taking a (grumpy) train from Nagano to stay at a traditional Japanese ryokan and bathe in the onsen baths (which were both delightful!)
