On the bus back from our hike up to Mt Emei. Back to Chengdu for the third time.
More stairs — the never ending stairs on Mt Emei. Day 2 of the 3-day, 54-km hike.
Staying at a temple on day 1 of our 3 day hike up Mountain Emei, in China. All in all we walked (up the stairs!!) 54 kilometers.
The world’s tallest Buddhist carving — the 71-meter Buddha in Leshan, China. Plus a few new friends 🙂
Drinking tea is the popular past time in Chengdu, China — so we join in — and its delicious!
Jumping off at the bus stop in Chengdu after our adventure in Tibet.
Walking around downtown Kangding, China.
More hiking in Tagong — fjording a river in the snow storm edition.
We made it to the Tibetan village of Tagong, high up in the mountains, where we visited a monastery after a lengthy hike fighting altitude weakness.
Hiking (or riding, really) up Paoma Shan in Kangding. Some awesome views, and a great first day of our Tibet adventure.
We go up and up and up on the bus from Chengdu to Kangding — the starting point for our Tibet adventure.
