22 March 2014 – Phnom Penh, Cambodia
When we first arrived in Phnom Penh we noticed an astonishing number of Lexus and Highlander jeeps driving around downtown. So we decided to count how many there are — turns out we got 13 in just about a block and half or 4 minutes. Who knew?

21 March 2014 – En route to Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Taking the Giant Ibis bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Giant Ibis is kind of like Bolt Bus in the US. Full of young professionals, with complimentary water and wifi (which just like on Bolt Bus performs at 100%, 50% of the time :). Now, if Cambodian highways were equivalents of DC-NYC expressway,

20 March 2014 – Siem Reap, Cambodia
A dip in the pool at Antanue Angkor Villa, our hotel and base for exploring the Angkor complex in Siem Reap. Also a very positive review of the 100 Yen ($1) water proof case for an iphone. It works, even underwater!!!

19 March 2014 – Siem Reap, Cambodia

The rose-colored sandstone carvings are spectacular even in 100+ degree heat. Banteay Srei was one of our favorites in the Angkor complex!

17 March 2014 – En route to Siem Reap, Cambodia
Hanging out on top of our boat, making our way from Battambang to Siem Reap via the Sankae River. Even though its not the best season and water levels are low, we had the best time. During our 7 hour trip we saw chinese fishing nets, floating villages, fisherman, and beautiful nature.

16 March 2014 – Battambang, Cambodia
A big climb awaits ahead of sunset — we are at the bottom of Wat Banan. Stairs, the story of our life travel.

15 March 2014 – Battambang, Cambodia
We take the norry, aka Cambodian train! A bamboo raft, set on the original network built by the French, and powered by a motorcycle engine. Locals still take it short distances — I think we caught a bunch of school kids going home. If nothing else, it is very scenic and very fun.

14 March 2014 – Battambang, Cambodia
Just crossed the border from Aranyaprathet to Poipet and hopped on a bus to our first destination in Cambodia, Battambang. Here we are first few minutes in a new country. Cheers!
