2 May 2014 – Luang Prabang, Laos
We happened upon Utopia bar in Luang Prabang and kind of were totally into it. We don;t normally hang out in a place with a young 20-something crowd, but…Utopia has something to offer for everyone. Pus the view is pretty magical, and Beer Lao a plenty at a reasonable price 🙂 Stop in for a

1 May 2014 – Luang Prabang, Laos
A magical ride on a bamboo raft at the top of Kuang Si Waterfall outside of Luang Prabang, Laos. The Kuang Si waterfall is majestic on its own, but this guy kind of made our day with a short ride through the jungle. Totally worth the climb to find the secret spot)

30 April 2014 – Luang Prabang, Laos
We stayed at the cutest little guesthouse in Luang Prabang – Xaychaleuang. Xaychaleuang is run by a nice Japanese lady, is very modern (think Japan!) and totally cute. If you can find it, and its not full, its totally worth a little bit extra. The magical balcony that looks over a cute ally with full display

29 April 2014 – En route to Luang Prabang, Laos
Day 1 of our first unsupervised motorcycle trip. Her name is Indi, and we purchased her in Vang Vieng. She carried us, plus all of our luggage up and down some steep hills between Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang. She did well 🙂

28 April 2014 – Vang Vieng, Laos
You know that nice little guest house from yesterday? Well it came with puppies! Three of them — Pepsi, Pancake and Sandwich. How could those three not be your favorites?!

27 April 2014 – Vang Vieng, Laos
Another look at the karst mountains in Vang Vieng. We were very lucky to find a nice little room, perched high above a restaurant, and secluded from other guests to enjoy this view for a few days.

26 April 2014 – Vang Vieng, Laos
Have you ever wondered why Vang Vieng became the party central of Laos? I think there are several good reasons. It’s a midway stop between Vientiane and Luangprabang. It’s pretty damn good looking, but there isn’t much else to do. Except for stare at the beautiful nature, and you know, float down a fast moving

25 April 2014 – Nong Khai, Thailand
Another look at the Mekong Waterfront in Nong Khai. The small border town really is delightful — and seems a world away from Laos. If you have a chance stay for a day or two, its pleasantly non-touristy.

24 April 2014 – Nong Khai, Thailand
A stroll down the Mekong waterfront in Nong Khai, Thailand. We stayed at the Pan guest house in a room facing the river, and it was totally worth the splurge.

23 April 2014 – Vientiane, Laos
More wats! Vientiane is full of them, and they are seriously strikingly beautiful. Don’t listen to the naysayers who say that Vientiane isn’t worth a visit — it totally is! Just look at these wats. ) Also featured – the national stuppa that is depicted on Lao Kip.

22 April 2014 – Vientiane, Laos
A stroll down the main road of the capital — Lane Xang. Also a stop into the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane, and the only one which survived the sacking of the city by the Siamese in 1828. Oops — that’s totally not what I said in the video. Got my history a
