Another amazing accommodation in Cambodia — Bacoma in Kep. Seriously, Cambodia must win first prize in global competition for most amazing value hotels. This stone bungalow beauty was only $10 a night!

Changing guesthouses was so worth it for this beaut: GreenHouse on Kampot River. Best and most relaxing day in Cambodia! We hope to be back someday for at least a week!
It’s 4 o’clock on the river! Just enjoying some hammock time in our bungalow at Bodhvilla guesthouse on Kampot river, Cambodia.
Riding a remorque, or a Cambodian version of a tuk tuk from the bus station to our guest house on Kampot river.
A visit to the Russian market Phnom Penh, Cambodia. *So.much.* amazing stuff. Like the recycled cement bag wallet and tote bag that Jenia purchased.
When we first arrived in Phnom Penh we noticed an astonishing number of Lexus and Highlander jeeps driving around downtown. So we decided to count how many there are — turns out we got 13 in just about a block and half or 4 minutes. Who knew?
Taking the Giant Ibis bus from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Giant Ibis is kind of like Bolt Bus in the US. Full of young professionals, with complimentary water and wifi (which just like on Bolt Bus performs at 100%, 50% of the time :). Now, if Cambodian highways were equivalents of DC-NYC expressway,…

A dip in the pool at Antanue Angkor Villa, our hotel and base for exploring the Angkor complex in Siem Reap. Also a very positive review of the 100 Yen ($1) water proof case for an iphone. It works, even underwater!!!
A visit to Preah Ko temple of the Roluos group, the earliest temples in the Angkor complex built in 9th century. Jenia gives a fine overview of the temple, but decides against being a tour guide. Go on, see what she has to say about the historic significance of Preah Ko. And on Agkor Wat,…
A visit to the 10th century Banteay Srei temple, the crown jewel of Khmer architecture. Banteay Srei was built by a Brahmin – rather than your typical Varman (king) — in honor of Hindu god Shiva. The rose-colored sandstone carvings are spectacular even in 100+ degree heat. Banteay Srei was one of our favorites in the Angkor complex!
Hanging out on top of our boat, making our way from Battambang to Siem Reap via the Sankae River. Even though its not the best season and water levels are low, we had the best time. During our 7 hour trip we saw chinese fishing nets, floating villages, fisherman, and beautiful nature.
